Today

The trick has been to be able to quickly get a routine setup to match the symptoms of the day. Today, my routine was thrown off because I didn't get up at 4:30 to take the nausea medicine (I'm in the sick days following chemo right now). So, 8am brought me ginger ale, some crackers and a pill. Then, some extra sleep, induced by the oxycontin still in my system from last night.

The baby puts an easy smile on my face, as she wakes and begins explorer the bed between my wife and I. I get up to face the day, uneasy all about my body.. sort of like nausea, but all over. A quick trip to the basement "smoking" room and I'm almost ready to face breakfast. Minutes later, "Plain dry eggs," I grunt. This, followed by a conversation about all of the different cheeses, burito wraps and dressings that might spruce up breakfast. I final chow down on an egg burito made with garlic powder and a little mozzerella, alfalfa sprouts and ranch dressing. Feels real good in my belly.
